About the Artist

I was born and raised in Angono, Rizal — a town that breathes art into the people who grow up here. They call it the Art Capital of the Philippines, and I believe some of that spirit found its way into me early on. I spent my years between Angono and Antipolo, surrounded by quiet mountains and the kind of familiar light that stays with you long after you've left.

I am entirely self-taught, which means every painting has been a conversation between me and the canvas — no formal rules, just feeling. I was shaped by the love of both my parents growing up, and my mother has been my number one supporter from the very beginning. She believed in my art even before I fully believed in it myself, and that love is woven into everything I make.

I paint what I see and experience — the mountains I've grown up with, the light on familiar roads, the scenery that has quietly become part of who I am. For commissioned works I sometimes work from reference photos, but imagination is always part of the process. Everything I paint is filtered through what I've already lived and felt, so even the most ordinary view becomes something personal. Acrylic is my medium now, and I find it honest and expressive — it lets me move as freely as my ideas do.

My subjects are the places I know and love: the mountains of Rizal, local scenery, and whatever image insists on being painted on a given day. I don't have a gallery show yet, but I dream of one — of my paintings hanging where people pass by, perhaps in a mall, perhaps somewhere I haven't yet imagined. Until then, I keep painting, trusting that the right opportunity will find me.
